THE WOOD RANCH STORY
In 1992, Ofer Shemtov and Eric Anders were each working more than 75 hours a week at a Los Angeles restaurant. At that time, relaxation was seeing a movie only to fall asleep right after the opening credits. Despite the long work hours they both knew if they got the opportunity, they would open their own restaurant company.
In 1992 Ofer found the first location in Moorpark and the two best friends renovated what was a failed barbecue restaurant. With only a $5,000 budget, they created the first Wood Ranch BBQ and Grill.
The restaurant, relatively small by today’s standards, became a great success in serving a community creaving a relaxing environment with great food. Today, there are fifteen Wood Ranch locations and one WR Kitchen & Bar serving Southern California.
